When I met James & Kat, they knew exactly what they wanted and had already planned most of the details themselves. My on the day wedding coordination was perfect for what they needed, just a little help with the lead up to their wedding day and then knowing that they could relax and enjoy their special day knowing that they had someone on hand to coordinate and manage everything.
They were married at the beautiful Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh Essex and the reception took place at the red brick barn just a short drive away. Kat arrived to the ceremony in a black taxi and they had arranged for their guests to travel on to their reception venue in a old London red bus!
Luckily with this fabulous wedding reception venue, they were able to have access the day before to start setting up. This gave us a chance to meet at the venue to run through all of the last details, go over any last minute changes and for them to hand over any final bits. I arrived at the venue early on the day to ensure that all of their suppliers are in the right place and at the right time, I finished all of the last decor details and setting up making sure that everything is perfect for their arrival. I am always on clock and weather watch just in case of any last minute changes.
The catering for the day was provided by Galley Slaves, starting with a selection of canapes served during the reception drinks and fish and chips for their main meal. James and Kat provided all of their own drinks, with a couple of friends to help serve and keep things topped up.
The food was served table service and I managed the coordination of this making sure that the guests with any dietaries are looked after are and ensuring that the table drinks are topped up at all times.
For dessert they had an ice cream cart and the evening buffet was a selection of pies, the wedding cheese cake (purchased from Costco’s) served with a selection of breads and pickles (all handmade). I was there during the day to except the deliveries including the bread and ice and prepared everything ready for their evening guests.
DECOR & STYLING
They had created their vision perfectly, with personalised logo’s, a polaroid camera table plan and little notes on the mirror. Every guest had a hand written note from the couple, each with special memories. I honestly think that these favors received the best reaction from guests 🙂
The wooden tables had been hired from the marquee company, finished with the green linen napkins and pots with succulents and plants. They had installed a stunning ladder with greenery, that was an amazing centre piece. Ribbon back drop and fairy lights just finished everything off!
